Lawyerly Referral Terms

Version 1.0 · Last updated 1 June 2026

These terms explain who can take part in the Lawyerly referral programme, how an introduction works, and how the thank-you is earned. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice, and by taking part you agree to them.

Anyone can. You do not need to be a Lawyerly client. If you know a business owner who would value what we do, you are welcome to introduce them.
Any business that is new to Lawyerly. We cannot reward an introduction to a business that is already a client, or that has been in touch with us about our services.
Please ask the business first, and introduce only a business that is happy to hear from us. We make contact only where someone has agreed to the introduction. The simplest way is a short email introducing us to one another, and you do not need to share their contact details. We will tell the business that the introduction came from you, and, where we pay someone for introducing them, we will tell them that too. We handle any personal information involved in line with our Privacy Notice.

The thank-you applies once the business you introduce has joined and completed its first paid month. We wait until then so that an introduction has genuinely taken, rather than rewarding a sign-up that does not last.

  • The business you introduced gets a free month, credited to their account once they have completed their first paid month.
  • You get the same value at that point. If you are a subscriber, a month comes off your next bill at your current plan. If you are not a client, we pay the equivalent of one month's fee by bank transfer.

There is no limit on how many businesses you introduce, and a thank-you is yours for each one that joins and stays.

No thank-you applies where the business you introduced does not join, or cancels before completing its first paid month. We may also withhold a thank-you where an introduction is not genuine, is a duplicate, or where the programme is used in a way we consider abusive or in bad faith.
You are responsible for any tax that may arise for you on a thank-you. We may decline an introduction, for example where we are unable to act for a business or where a conflict exists. We may also change these terms, adjust the thank-you, or close the programme at any time, though no change will affect a thank-you that has already been earned.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

Please contact us at any time, or send your referrals to support@lawyerly.co.
